Mockry, Norma J Zorn

Former Olpe resident Norma Jean Mockry, 67, of Rio Rico, Ariz, died Feb 21, 2002 at Tucson, Ariz. Mrs. Mockry worked at St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia for 25 years and drove a school bus for the Olpe school district before the family moved to Nogales, Ariz., in May 1982. She then worked at the Mariposa Manor for 10 years and also for her daughter, Debra, at Meghan's Hallmark and Flowers store, both in Nogales.

Norma Jean Zorn, the daughter of Otto and Inez Zorn, was born Aug 16, 1934, at Olpe. She married Elmer Mockry on Jan 26, 1952.

Mrs Mockry is survived by her husband; seven daughters, Ronda Mitchell of Livermore, Calif.; Carolyn Hernandez, Rebecca Favela and Tracy Gutierrez, all of Rio Rico, Ariz.; Debra Varona of Nogales, Janelle Favela of San Antonio, and Shelly Heredia of Tucson, Ariz.; a son, Norman Mockry of Phoenix; a sister, Dorothy Lawrence of Marion; seven brothers, Charles Zorn and Jerry Zon, both of Emporia, John Zorn of Reading, Donald Lee Zorn of Strong City, Raymond Zorn of Olpe, James Zorn of Benton and Marvin Zorn of Scott City; 15 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Her parents and a sister, Alberta Hendricks, died earlier.

The funeral was held Feb. 25 in the Triumph Lutheran Church at Nogales, Ariz. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Nogales High School cheerleaders or the Nogales High School varsity baseball team, 1905 N Apache Blvd, Nogales, Ariz. 85621
