Myrtle Moore, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore of Saffordville, was born October 16th 1897, and died at the family home Tuesday, January 10th, age 13 years, 2 months and 24 days.

Myrtle was taken suddenly ill about noon Tuesday and in a few hours succumbed to an accute attack of pneumonia.

The deceased leaves besides her parents, three brothers and two sisters, and a host of young friends who deeply mourn her untimely death. The funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon conducted by Rev. Samuel Finch, and interment was made in the Toledo cemetery.

Six of the deceased little girl friends and school mates acted as pall bearers, and the many beautiful floral offerings showed the esteem and regard in which Myrtle was held by her many friends and playmates.
