Morine, Sarah Elizabeth Kent

Sarah Elizabeth Morine, 88, died March 3, 2002, at a local care facility.

Mrs. Morine was born July 4, 1913, in Bazaar, the daughter of Frank A and Edith Ann Kent. Mrs Morine graduated from Cottonwood Falls High School in Cottonwood Falls. She was a secretary in the Geology Department of Kansas State University for twenty years. She has been a Topeka resident since 1964. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, bowling, fishing and birdwatching. She was Past President of Civic Newcomers and assistant Hostess of the Topeka Travel Club. She was also a member of Susanna Wesley Methodist Church and the Eastern Star.

She married Allen C Morine on Dec. 23, 1933, at Newton. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1975.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna J. Morine Fearning,Enteprise, Ala.; One brother, Walter Kent, Tecumseh, Okla.; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Good Samaritan Fund-Aldersgate Village, 7220 S W Asbury Drive, Topeka, KS 66614. Mrs Morine was cremated. Memorial services were March 6, 2002, in Wesley Hall at Aldergate Village, Penwell-Gabel Mid Town is in charge of the arrangements.
