Mullins, Michael Allen

Michael Allen Mullins, 40, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2002, at his home in Osage City.

He was born May 2,1962, in Emporia, the son of Clarence "Moe" and Beverly Hogan Mullins. He graduated in 1980 from Osage City High School, where he participated in foot- ball, basketball and track. He attended Kaw Area Votech School and Washburn University and served in the Air National Guard.

Mr. Mullins owned Mullins Air Conditioning and Electric in Osage City. Previously, he had been a building technician for the state and had worked at Kriz-Davis Electrical Supply, Hill and Company and Stanion Electrical Supply, all in Topeka. He coached recreation base- ball, softball, basketball, foot- ball and soccer in Osage City.

He married Candy Miller on March 17, 1984, in Osage City; they were divorced.

He is survived by a daugh- ter, Brandy Mullins, a student in Iola; a son Chris Mullins of Osage City; parents, also of Osage City; a brother, Danny Mullins, of Strong City; grand- parents, Russell Hogan of Osage City and Sarah Blair of Mount Gay, W Va; and a step- grandmother, Polly Mullins of Kenova, W.Va.

A grandmother, Mabel Hogan, and a grandfather, Clarence Mullins Sr., died ear- lier. The funeral was Sept. 6, 2002, at Twin Lakes Four Square Church in Osage City. Burial was in Osage City Cemetery. Memorials in his name to the Mullins Children Education Fund may be sent in care of Crable FuneraJ- Chapel, 107 N. State St., Osage City, KS 66523.
