Nelson, Nadine Jones

C. Nadine Nelson died Wednesday, June 8, 2005, at her home in Emporia.

The daughter of Jesse R. and Margaret Talon Jones, she was born Dec. 12, 1924, at Emporia. She married Daniel Nelson in 1945 at Emporia. He died in March 2002.

She worked at Modine in Emporia for 11 years before she retired 20 years ago.

Mrs. Jones is survived by two daughters, E.J. Adams of Emporia and Janice Clopton of Hartford; one son, Gary Nelson of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. A brother, Jesse Jones, died earlier.

A graveside service was held Monday, June 13, at Strong City Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Goad of Emporia conducted the service.

Memorial contributions to the Terry C. Johnson Center for Basic Cancer Research at Kansas State University may be sent to the Roberts-Blue-Bennett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
