Nicholas, Hulda Marie Imm

Hulda Marie Nicholas, 101, formerly of Emporia, died Wednesday, Nov 23, 2005, at her home in Wichita. Mrs. Nicholas was a homemaker.

She was born on Jan. 14, 1904, in Elmdale, the daughter of Fredrick William and Hulda Pockrant Imm. She married Clarence A. Nicholas on March 21, 1925, in Emporia. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1977.

Mrs. Nicholas was a member of First Congregational Church, First Congregational Women's Circle and many card parties.

She is survived by a daughter, Alberta Kroeker of Wichita; a sister, Elsie Austrup of Grand Prairie, Alberta, Canada; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a son, the Rev. William "Bill" L. Nicholas; a grandson, Benjamin Nicholas; one brother; and four sisters. The service and burial were Saturday, Nov 26, at Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Chad Poland officiated. The family suggests memorial contributions to First Congregational Church in care of Roberts- Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, Ks.
