Oldham, Caroline M Kaufman

Caroline "Carrie" M. Oldham, 100, died Friday, Nov. 4, 2005, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls.

Caroline Marie Kaufman, daughter of Edward and Katie Birk Kaufman, was born Nov. 28, 1904, at Gridley.

She and Emery Curtis Oldham were married Dec. 17, 1925. He died on Nov. 27, 1976.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church (USA) in Cottonwood Falls. She was a member of the Wednesday Afternoon Bridge Club and active in Church Circle.

She is survived by her son, Carvel Oldham, Cottonwood Falls; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents; a daughter, Freda Donald; a brother, Ben Kaufman; a grandson, Mike Donald; and a great-great-granddaughter in infancy. A Celebration of Life Service was held on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2005, at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, with the Rev. Pat Ireland officiating. Burial was at Prairie Grove Cemetery in rural Cottonwood Falls.

Memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church (USA) of Cottonwood Falls or to the Chase County Senior Center may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry Cottonwood Falls, Kansas, 66845.
