Osgood, Vera Katherine Johnston Vera K Osgood, 68, died
Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003, at
Harry Hines Memorial
Hospice, Wichita. Funeral
services were Aug. 16 at
Zeiner Funeral Home in
Florence. Mr. Everett Cress
conducted the service.
Burial was in Hillcrest
Cemetery, Florence.
Vera Katherine
Johnston was born Aug. 29,
1934, to Harold and
Mildred Osban Johnston in
Marion. She graduated
from Marion High School
in 1952. She lived all of her
life in Marion and Chase
counties.
She married Francis
Osgood on Aug. 9, 1974, in
Cottonwood Falls. She was
a homemaker.
She is survived by her
husband; four daughters,
Kathy Dossey of
Blanchard, Okla., Brenda
Bensinger of Oklahoma
City, Okla., Carolyn Wi.rtz
of Council Grove and Mary
Eccles of Oklahoma City,
Okla.; three brothers, Dale
and Wayne Johnston of
Marion and Les Johnston
of San Antonio, Texas; four
sisters, Marie Land and
Shirley Cardin of Florence,
Wanda Waring of Pine
Bluff, Ark. and Barbara
Craney of Topeka; 11
grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has
been established with the
Harry Hines Memorial
Hospice, Wichita in care of
Zeiner Funeral Home,
Florence, KS 66851
