Su K. Parks, 55, died May 6, 2002, at Morris County Hospital, Council Grove Funeral services will be Friday May 10, at 10 am at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls, with officiant, The Rev Pat Ireland. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Toledo Township.

Su K Parks, the daughter of George and Laura Malone Sayre Parks, was born March 9, 1947 at Strong City. She attended school at Saffordville and Hettlinger Services in Emporia. She attended Saffordville United Methodist Church and was active at the Chase County Senior Center.

She is survived by her mother, Laura Parks of Cottonwood Falls; one brother, Alf Parks of Emporia; and other relatives and friends. She lived with her caretake, Irene Swift in Cottonwood Falls. She was preceded in death by brothers, Junior Parks, Bill Parks, Dale Parks, and Casey Parks; sisters, Phyllis Zumbrunn, Mary Jane McCleary, Joyce Richcreek and Marjorie Brown. Memorials are suggested to the Chase County Senior Center in care of the funeral home. Friends may call Thursday from 9 am until 8 pm and Friday from 9 am until service time.
