Patton, Franes Nadene Blosser

Frances Nadene Patton, 84, of Morganville died Aug. 1, 2002, at Clay County Medical Center, Clay Center.

Frances Nadene Blosser, the daughter of Nathaniel and Arletta Glover Blosser, was born Oct. 2, 1917, at Hesston. She moved from rural Hesston to the Homestead Community in Chase County with her fam- ily.

She married Marion Patton on Feb. 21, 1943. They farmed in the Homestead Community before moving to Cottonwood Falls in 1965. They moved to Morganville in August 1967. She worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at the Farmers Co-Op Elevator Assn. in Morganville until her retire- ment in 1981. She was a mem- ber of the Homestead Friends Church and attended the Morganville United Methodist Church. She was also a mem- ber of the Order of Eastern Star 180 in Clay Center.

She is survived by her hus- band; one son, N.M. Patton, Peabody; two daughters, Datha Olney, Barrington, Ill., and Jerrie Loader, Clay Center; a sister, Opal Loucks, Fredonia; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, LaVern, Robert and Richard; and one sister, Mary Louise.

The funeral service was Aug. 5, 2002, at the United Methodist Church in Clay Center. The Rev. Darlene Nonhof officiated. Burial was at the Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls. Memorials are suggested to ISIS Shrine Crippled Children's Travel Endowment. Fund or the Morganville United Methodist Church.
