GRANDMA BANGS AND Mrs. PERRY DIED SAME DAY

Grandma Bangs died at the home of her son, Mr. W B Hilton, in this city about noon last Saturday, Aug. 30, 1924. Mrs. Bangs, who was almost 87 years of age, had suffered a recent illness but had about recovered and was apparently feeling much better. Her death was due to her old age and enfebled condition.

Only a few hours following Mrs. Bangs’ death the Hilton family received a message from Kansas City telling of the death of Mrs. Hilton's sister, Mrs. Lester Perry. Mrs. Perry died at 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon.

A brief funeral service for Mrs. Bangs was held at the Hilton home Sunday afternoon at 1:00 o'clock after which the remains were taken to Atchison, Kansas, where interment was made Monday afternoon.

Mrs. Bangs is survived by three sons, W. B. Hilton of this city, with whom she has made her home for a number of years; Howard Hilton of Los Angeles, Calif; and Herbert Hilton of Elmyra New York.

The funeral for Mrs Perry was held Monday afternoon at Kansas City where interment was made. Mrs Perry before her marriage was Miss Gertie Estes. She was born and raised in this city. She is survived by her husband and one son, George Perry, who is about sixteen years of age, also three sisters and one brother, Mrs W B Hilton of this city; Mrs H A Rose and Mrs Charles West of Hartford, and Mr. Ed Estes of Topeka.

Mr and Mrs W B Hilton left Sunday for Atchison where they accompanied the body of Mrs Bangs and from there were to Kansas City to attend the funeralo of Mrs Perry, Monday afternoon.
