Pierce, John Layman

John L. Pierce, 69, died Dec. 23, 2006, at his home in Sierra Madre, Calif.

John, the son of Lester and Aileen Layman Pierce, was born Dec. 21, 1937, at Elmdale.

John was afflicted with a rare disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, for the past six years.

He is survived by his wife, Sheila; five children; two granddaughters; twin sisters, Fay Janes and Rae Palmer; and one brother, Chuck Pierce. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were Dec. 30, at Sierra Madre, Calif.
