Pierce, Leslie 0. “Les”

Leslie 0. Pierce, 94, died Dec. 8, 2007. Memorial services will be held at Crestview United Methodist Church, Topeka, on Dec. 28, 2007, at 10 a.m.

Les was born the twin son of James O. and Agness Pflager Pierce on Nov. 9, 1913, at the Elk Community of Chase County. He attended the Elk Union grade and high schools.

He married Mabel K. Henry on May 1, 1935.

He was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church. He was awarded a 50 year pin in 1979 from the Modern Woodman of America. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a graduate of the Menninger Bible Study Course, and a graduate of the Refrigeration Service Engineering Society.

He is survived by his daughter, Donalda Jane; a son, Dawd Richard; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; twin brother Lester and twin brothers, William Bud and Walter Leroy.

Entombment will take place in the Mausoleum of Mount Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of floral arrangements, the family requests memorial contributions be made either to the Crestview United Methodist Church, 2245 Southwest Evenside Drive, Topeka KS 66614 or Heart of America Hospice, 3715 Southwest 29th Street, Topeka, KS 66614.
