Pyles, Cynthia A (Piles)

Cynthia A Piles Died, At the home of her daughter near Cedar Point, June 14, 1901, Cynthia A. Piles, aged 90 years, 8 months and 1 day. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. Knepp. "Grandma Piles," as she was familiarly known was born in White county, Tenn., Oct. 10, 1810, moved to Indiana when she was thirteen years old, and thence to Coles County, Illinois in 1844, and to Chase county, Kansas in 1867. She was the mother of seven children, grand-mother of thirty-three, great-grand-mother of fifty-two, and great-great-grand-mother of two, all of which are living.

She died as she lived, a Christian, she joined the M. E. church at the age of thirteen years of age and has always since that time remained a faithful. member.
