Pitts, Mina Helen Meek
Mina Helen Pitts, 97,
died Nov. 22, 2003, at her
home in rural Emporia.
Mina Helen Meek, the
daughter of Cornelius and
Julia Bell Adams Meek was
born Nov. 25, 1906, in
Grenola. She married
Clarence W Pitts on July
31, 1932, at Emporia. He
died Sept. 13, 1983.
Mina was a homemaker.
She was a member of the
First United Methodist
Church and a "Pink Lady"
at Newman Hospital in
Emporia.
She is survived by a son,
Jim Pitts of Emporia; one
grandson; and two great-
granddaughters.
She was preceded in
death by a son, Joe Dean
Pitts, two sisters and one
brother.
Cremation is planned
and a private family inurnment will be held later.
Memorial to the Hand in
Hand Hospice may be sent
