Pracht, Fredrick Samuel

Fredrick Samuel Pracht, 92, died Aug. 20, 2002, at the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cottonwood Falls, where he had lived since 1998. Mr. Pracht farmed in the Cedar Point area most of his life.

Fredrick Samuel Pracht, the son of Oscar and Mae Laughridge Pracht, was born Sept. 12, 1909, at Elk. He graduated from Marion High School. He is survived by his wife, the former Ola Byram. They married on March 17 1937, in Wichita.

Mr. Pracht was a member of the Cedar Poiunt Methodist Church and also a member of the church board for years. He was a member of the Cedar Point School board for years and was treasurer of the Falls Township Board.

Survivors include two broth- ers, Dana Pracht of Hugh Springs, Texas, and Harold Pracht of El Paso, Texas; and one sister, Ruth Christe of El Paso, Texas. Four brothers, Orville Pracht, Elvin Pracht, Ronald Pracht and Neal Pracht; and one sister, Della Jacques, died earlier.

The funeral was Aug. 23, 2002, in the Brown-Bennett- Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. Larry Timm of the Cedar Point Community Church conducted the service. Burial was in Cedar Point Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center can be sent to the funeral home, 201 Cherry St., Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
