Pyle, Wanda Mae Nelson Wanda Pyle, 92, died Friday, Sept. 1, 2006, at Morris County Hospital in Council Grove.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, 2006, at 2 p.m., at the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. The Rev. John Hastings of the Elmdale United Methodist Church will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Elmdale Cemetery,
Elmdale.
Wanda Mae Nelson, the daughter of Earl E. and Mabel F. Hildebrand Nelson, was born Sept. 5, 1913, at Saffordville.
She and Thomas J. Pyle were married June 13, 1935, at Newton. He died Feb. 22, 2001. They lived near Elmdale and ranched together.
She was a member of the Elmdale United Methodist Church.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Don Nelson, Kenneth "Bud" Nelson and Daniel "Danny" Nelson.
Memorial contributions to the Chase County Health and Rehabilitation Center may be sent in care of the funeral home, 201 Cherry, Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
