Rangel, Jesus
Jesus "Chota" Rangel, 81, died May 2, 2004, at his Emporia home.
The son of Jose M. Pedro and Niconara Rangel, he was born March 5, 1923, in Emporia. He was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Lupe Solis of Cottonwood Falls; and a
niece who was his caretaker, Kathy Silva of Emporia.
Two sisters, Delores Main and Ida Solis, and seven brothers, Merced Rangel, Marcelino Rangel, Sistos Rangel, John Rangel, Martin Rangel, Francisco Rangel and Paul Rangel, died earlier.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2 p.m.
Thursday, May 6, 2004, in St. Catherine Catholic Church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions to the church or Hand in Hand Hospice may be sent to Charter Funerals-Emporia Chapel, 501 W Sixth Ave., Emporia, KS 66801.
