MANY ATTEND RITES FOR MRS. RANSFORD
A large number of relatives and friends gathered at the G. Marshall Young funeral home Saturday afternoon to attend final services for Mrs. Elsie Mae Ransford, who died at the age of 51 last Tuesday evening at Mercy Hospital after a lingering illness.
The services were conducted by the Rev. D. M. Watson of the Epworth Methodist church, Mrs. J. L. Porter and. Mrs. T. E. Tomlinson sang "Abide With Me", "Going Down the Valley" and "Nearer My God to Thee", accompanied on the electric organ by Mrs. George Fox.
Pallbears were F. Bird, Jack Rowell, Bert Thompson, Harry J. Steinke, John Scott and W. Stockwell. Burial was made in the family lot in Oakland cemetery.
Elsie Mae Baldwin was born March 16, 1889 at Stanford, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baldwin. She had been a resident of Webster county and Fort Dodge for many years and recently made her home at 434 south Twenty-eight street.
Mrs. Ransford is survived by six sons, Paul Jacob of Lehigh, John Jacob of Fort Dodge, and Leroy Jacob of Newton, Kan., and
William J., Harold Lee and Lester B. Ransford all living in Colorado. Three daughters, Mrs. Maybell. Fye of Fort Dodge and Misses Martha Ellen and Maxine Ransford of
Denver, Colo. A sister Mrs. Flossie Ransford of Newton, Kan., two brothers, William and Jesse Baldwin of Kit Carson, Colo., and 10 grandchildren.
She was baptized in the Christian church at Homer, at the age of 12 and she always remained true to her belief.
