LUKE JACOB

Luke Leroy Jacob, 73. Pierce City, died at 7:10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct 1981 in his home after a sudden illness.

Mr. Jacob was an Iowa native and a retired employee of Superior Sand Company of Wichita, Kan. He was a member and brotherhood director of the First Baptist Church in Pierce City.

Survivors include his wife, Myrtle; a stepson, Robert Hardesty, Houston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Potter, Kansas City, and Mrs. Peggy Bolin, Hammersville, Ohio; two step-daughters, Mrs. Peggy Womack, and Mrs. Patsy Haynie, both of Houston, Texas; a b rother, John Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Spencer, Pierre, S.D., and Mrs. Maybelle Matzke, Pierce City; 16 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Wilks-Lakin Funeral Home will announce arrangements.
