Ransford, Joseph Marion
Joseph Marion Ransford was born near Burns, Marion County, Kansas, November 10 1874, and he departed this life January 8, 1940, at Florence, Colorado, at the age of 65 years, 2 months.
He was the son of Cameron and Mary (Featherkile) Ransford.
He leaves to mourn his passing, 3 sons, William J Ransford and family, of Colorado; Harold, of Pueblo, Colo.; Lester Ransford; one stepson, L Leroy Jacob, of Newton, and three daughters, Maybell of Fort Dodge, Iowa; Martha Ellen and Maxine of Denver Colorado. Also two brothers, Jim, of Elmdale and Roy of Newton, and one sister, Martha Moore, of Galena, Kansas.
He had lived most of his life in Chase County and Cottonwood Falls, until about 7 years ago he went to live at Florence, Colorado.
Interment was made at the Florence, Colorado cemetery.
