Robert Gerald Redick
Emporia native Robert Gerald Redick, 83, died Friday, June 27, 2008, at his home in Topeka.
The son of Thomas Gerald and Helen Francis Murray-Redick, he was born Sept. 13, 1924, at Emporia. He was a laborer in highway construction and with one of the glass companies in Topeka. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by one brother, James Jefferson Redick of Cottonwood Falls; and two sisters, Irene Elizabeth Dorsey of Emporia and Ruth Josephine Johnson of Topeka. Four brothers and one sister died earlier.
Funeral services were Thursday, July 3, at the Bowser Johnson Funeral Chapel in Topeka.
