Reese, Ephriam

Ephriam Reese died at his home on Silver Creek Sunday March 16, of heart failure, after a lingering illness. The funeral was held at the home on Monday, March 17, and the remains were laid in the cemetery west of town. He was born March 3, 1836, at Salesville, Ohio, and when yet quite small removed with his parents to West Virginia where the greater part of his life was spent.

In 1879 he removed to Kansas, settling on Silver Creek where he resided until his death. He married Mary S. Ethridge in 1882 and of this union four children were born, three of whom survive him. He was a member of the M. E. Church with which he connected himself when a young man.
