Roberts, Connie E Holmberg Connie E. Roberts
Connie E. Roberts, 79, of
Strong City, died Tuesday,
Nov. 4, 2003, at St. Francis
Hospital in Topeka. A Mass
of Christian Burial was
held Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at
St. Anthony Catholic
Church. Father Jeffrey
Fasching was the celebrant. Burial followed in St.
Anthony's Cemetery, north
of Strong City.
Connie E. Holmberg, the
daughter of Carroll and
Estella Schmitt Holmberg,
was born Aug. 26, 1924, in
Strong City. She married
Howard Roberts on Aug.
28, 1944, at the Catholic
rectory in Strong City. He
died Oct. 21, 2002.
She was a homemaker
and a member of the
National Farmers Union.
She was a member of St.
Anthony Catholic Church
and served as organist for
years.
She is survived by a son,
Robin Roberts of rural
Cottonwood Falls; four
daughters, Terri McKee of
Lenexa, Jerri Mushrush of
Strong City, Carole Miser of
rural Cottonwood Falls and
Jill Allen of Humbolt; one
brother, Jack Holmberg;
two sisters, Beverly
Grochowsky of Newton and
Shirley Oldham of
Cottonwood Falls; and 11
grandchildren. Her parents
preceded her in death.
Memorial contributions
to the St. Anthony Catholic
Church Renovation Fund
