Robinson, Charles E

Emporian Charles E. Robinson, 98, died Sept. 13, 2001, at Vintage Manon. Mr. Robinson was retired from the Firestone Tire Co. of Emporia.

Charles E. Robinson was born April 25, 1903, in rural Emporia, the son of William and Mary I. Cox Robinson. He married Ila Pearl Jones on Aug. 27, 1923, at Cottonwood Falls. Mr. Robinson was a member of First Christian Church of Emporia, as well as a member of Emporia Masonic Lodge No. 12 A.F. & A.M. and the Arab Shrine Temple in Topeka.

Mr. Robinson is survived by two sons, Leo Robinson of Federal Way, Wash., and Bill Robinson of Mesa, Ariz., and a daughter, Betty J. Workman of Wichita. He was preceeded in death by his wife, in December, 1978, and by two brothers.

Funeral services were Monday, Sept. 17. 2001 at the Patio Garden in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Masonic graveside services were conducted by Emporia Masonic Lodge No 12 A.F. & A. M.

Memorial contributions can be made to the First Christian Church of Emporia, in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
