Rufener, John B. John B. Rufener, 90, died Thursday, Oct. 19, 2006, at Wichita.
John, the son of B.B. and Rosa Piel Rufener, was born June 22, 1916, at Cottonwood Falls. He attended Kansas State University for two and a half years.
He married Hope Goad on Nov. 29, 1948, at Cottonwood Falls. She died Aug. 6, 2002.
He was a farmer, janitor
and school bus driver.
He was a member of the Cottonwood Falls United Methodist Church, Twin Cities Lions Club, a 4-H Leader and Sunday School leacher.
He is survived by two sons, Clifford W Rufener and John Larrimore Rufener both of Cottonwood Falls; a daughter, Robin B. Rufener, Sedalia, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and 25 great-grand-
- children.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 23, at the United Methodist Church, Cottonwood Falls. Rev. Melody Kimbrel conducted the service. Burial was in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Cottonwood Falls.
Croy Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
