Schmitt, Verne "Lynn”
Verne “Lynn” Schmitt, 59, died Monday, June 12, 2006, in Hays Good Samaritan Center in Hays.
Lynn, the son of Verne G. and Nellie Aline Austin Schmitt, was born Nov. 30, 1946.
He graduated from Great Bend High School and Kansas School of Barber in Kansas City and later diesel mechanics school in Kansas City.
Lynn is survived by three sons, B.J. Schmitt and Eric Schmitt, both of Hays, and Ty Schmitt of Fayetteville, Ark.; two daughters, Monnie Schmitt of Hays and Kalli Schmitt of Louisburg; one brother, Robert Schmitt of Mission; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were on Friday, June 16, 2006, in Great Bend at the First United Methodist Church.
Burial was in Pawnee Rock Cemetery in Pawnee Rock.
Memorials are to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
