Sigel, Carter B Dr

Dr. Carter B. Sigel, 82, of Rockport, Texas, died Thursday, Nov 10, 2005, at a Corpus Christi hospital.

Carter, the son of Joseph and Lora Sigel, was born Feb. 1, 1923, in Greeley. He graduated from Kansas University Medical Center. He retired after 20 years of service with the U.S. Navy Medical Corp. He continued practicing medicine until 1995. He had a private medical practice in Cottonwood Falls for eight years. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic church in Rockport, Texas, and the Knights of Columbus.

Dr. Sigel is survived by his wife, Eunice B. "Billie" Sigel of Rockport; three sons, Eric Sigel of Cottonwood Falls, Steve Sigel of Richmond, Va. and Joe Sigel of Paola; three daughters, Coleen Troutman of Peoria, Ill., Karen Kaiser of Brumley, Mo. and Greta Crawford of Sundance, Wyo.; a sister, Roseanne Dunbar of Weatherford, Okla; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Joseph; and a sister, Rita.

Rosary was recited Sunday, Nov 13, 2005, at Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel, Rockport, Texas. Mass was celebrated Monday, Nov 14, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rockport, Texas, with Msgr. Louis Kihnemann as celebrant. Private family interment will be conducted at a later date. Expressions of sympathy may be made by donations to Guardian Angel Program of Sacred Heart School, 114 N. Church, Rockport, Texas, 78382.
