Standiferd, Cecilia Marie "Susie" Soyez Cecilia Marie "Susie" Standiferd, 82, formerly of Emporia, died Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2006, at Wichita.
The daughter of Emile Sr., and Grace Sampson Soyez, she was born Dec. 19, 1923, at Florence. She graduated from Marion High School in 1940 and then moved to Emporia.
She married Robert Standiferd on Aug. 25, 1946, at Emporia. He died April 24, 1994.
Mrs. Standiferd was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. American Legion Auxiliary, Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary, Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Kansas Women's Bowling Association. She also was a seamstress and volunteer in many organizations.
She is survived by three daughters, Linda Davis of Newton, Barbara Rotramel of Wichita and Jeannie Jenkins of Plano, Texas; one son, Robert Standiferd of Wichita; one sister, Louise Gregory of Emporia; two brothers, Emile Soyez Jr., of Cedar Point and Jon Soyez of Newton; two grandchildren; four step-
grandchildren; and seven great-and step-greatgrandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Vida Vinduska and LuEtta Soyez; and two brothers, Lloyd Soyez and Richard Soyez.
The funeral was Friday, Sept. 22, in the Jones VanArsdale Funeral Home at Lebo. Burial was in Lincoln Cemetery.
