Steen, Esther L Willits Esther L Steen, 85, of Osage City died May 19, 2002, at St Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Topeka. Mrs Steen spent her early years in the Reading area before she moved to Osage City.
Esther Willits, the daughter of Louis R. and Minnie Armstrong Willits, was born Aug. 19, 1916, at Reading. She married Alfred H. Steen in 1933 in Cottonwood Falls. He died Nov 02, 1982.
Mrs. Steen is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Lawless of Osage City and Rena Irwin of Topeka; two sons, Benjamin D. Steen of Overbrook and Neil A. Steen of Glen Coe, Calif.; a sister; Ethel Theisen of Osage City; three grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren. A grandson died earlier.
The graveside service will be at 2 pm, May 21, 2002 in Reading Cemetery at Reading. Craable Funeral Chapel of Osage City has the arrangments.
