Stice, Thomas F

Thomas F. Stice, 59, of rural Strong City, died June 15, 2004, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

Thomas F. Stice the son of Marion and Maurine Vance Stice was born July 29, 1944, at Coffeyville. He worked 40 years as a pipefitter and was a member of Local 441 of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union in Wichita.

Mr. Stice, who served with the Kansas National Guard during the Vietnam War, was a member of Lowry-Funston Post 1980 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Emporia.

He is survived by a daughter, Dustin Peterson of Council Grove; his mother, of Edna; a brother, Clifford Stice of Mound Valley; a sister, Geraldine Oneslager of Coffeyville; and two grandchildren. His father died earlier. The funeral was Monday, June 21, 2004, at the Saffordville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Elaine Burleigh of the church officiated.

Burial was in Hillside Cemetery at Toledo. A memorial in his name has been established with the Saffordville United Methodist Church. Contributions may be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801.
