Stubenhofer, George Sr

George Stubenhofer Dies Early Monday
Pioneer of County Has Been Sick For Eighteen Months from Stroke of Paralysis.

George Stubenhofer, Sr., of Strong City died early Monday morning at his home here after an illness of a year and a half. Mr. Stubenhofer suffered a stroke of paralysis in 1928 and never recovered from it. He was one of the early settlers of this county, having come here in 1876.

The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock in St. Anthony's church in Strong City. Father Disselkamp was in charge of the services after which interment was in the Catholic cemetery.

He is survived by his widow, six children, five sisters, and three brothers. The children are Miss Helen Stubenhofer of Topeka, Miss Mae Stubenhofer of St. Louis, Karl Stubenhofer of Elmdale and Frances, Gertrude and George, Jr., of the home. The sisters are Mrs. Henry Wiebrecht, Sr,, and Mrs. D Foxworthy.
