Swift, Francis E

The funeral service for former Chase County resident Francis E. Swift, 59, was April 19,2002, at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls. Mr. Swift was cremated; inurnment will be at a later date in Matfield Green Cemetery. Mr. Swift died suddenly on April 16, 2002, at his home in Topeka. He owned and operated C & F Flea Market & Antiques.

Francis Eugene Swift was born June 14, 1942, at Strong City, the son of William and Anna Ruth Granger Swift. He married Clara Treadway on Nov. 20, 1965, in Little Rock, Ark. She survives. He is also survived by three sons, Bryan Sullivan of Emporia, Clyde Sullivan of Gardner and Francis Swift Jr. of Blue Springs, Mo.; three daughters, Robbie Sullivan and Terry Swift, both of Topeka and Phyllis Gregerson of Grand Meadow, Minn.; a brother, Harry Swift of Newton; 28 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A sister, Virginia Perkins and two brothers, Donald Swift and Jim Swift, died earlier. Memorial contributions in his name to the Matfield Community Church can be sent in care of the funeral home.
