Triemer, Gladys Elaine Holmes Gladys Elaine Triemer, 77, died Tuesday at Sutter Solano Hospital in Vallejo, Califo., Funeral services were conducted Monday in the Grace Lutheran Church in Strong City. Pastor David Park officiated. Interment followed in the Strong City Cemetery.
Gladys Elaine Holmes was born on April 30, 1924, in Augusta, to Ronald and Olga Carlman Holmes. She married F W "Bud" Triemer on June 4, 1948 in Ottawa. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Mrs Triemer was a teacher for over 40 years. She taught in Kansas, California and New York as well as Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. She retired in 1980. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity, Vallejo, Calif. She enjoyed traveling, reading, and playing bridge.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Tygielski of Bericia, Calif., and Carla Triemer of Hoffman Estates, Ill; two sisters, Pauline Draut of Wichita and Ruth Ann King of Towanda and one brother George Holmes of Norwich and three grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and can be sent in care of Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, Cottonwood Falls.
