Waddell, Augustus
Death of Mr. Waddell's Father
W. A. Waddell returned the latter part of last week from Hamburg, Iowa, where he had been called by the death of his father, A. Waddell.
Mr. Waddell had shipped a car of apples from Topeka to Houston, Texas, where he made a sale of the fruit and it was while he was still at Houston that he received the telegram conveying the news of the death of his father. Mr. Waddell left at once on the long journey for Hamburg arriving in time for the funeral.
A Waddell was 85 years of age and was born in Gallio county, Ohio on Feb. 10th, 1826. He had long been a farmer of Iowa before age had caused him to retire from that work. About two years ago he came here making a long visit with his son and he will be remembered by many here.
