Obituary—Eddie Wagner, Drowned
The following resolutions were passed at the Praitie Hill Sabbath school Sunday, Aug. 14, 1881.
Whereas God in his all-wise providence has seen fit to take from our midst Eddie Wagner, one of our lively, energetic workers and much loved members, therefore
Resolved. 1 That we the members of the Prairie Hill Sabbath school, tender out deep and heart-felt sympathy to the bereaved parents, sisters and brothers, and pray God to give them strength to kiss the rod.
2. That we seeing how frail and uncertain life is will strive, God helping us, with renewed energy to make our cause a success.
3. That we send a copy of these resolutions to the parents and also one to each of our county papers for publication.
As Sabbath school friends of Eddie's we extend our heart-felt sympathy to the bereaved in this hour of trial. Eddie has gone from us in the spring time of life ere his life has been dimmed by a cloud.
He has gone from the circle who loved him so well, from the hearts that have grown to his own.
Our hearts are sad to think that we shall see his face no more in our midst, and the voice that was so dear to us, ne'er shall be heard in our Sunday school more.
May the bereaved be sustained and comforted through the great trial, and may we realize the shortness of life and be daily prepared for the Master's call which will come to each and all of us.
