Wagner, Twyla E.

Twyla E. Wagner, 74, of Wamego, died Sunday, Feb. 4, 2007, at Stormont-Vail Health Center in Topeka.

The daughter of Edward “Bud” and Gladys Traner Martin, she was born Sept. 21, 1932, at White City. She attended local schools and graduated from Alma High School in 1950.

Twyla was a Nurses Aid and worked in the nursing home in Alma and Cottonwood Falls. While living in Wamego, she worked as a home health care provider.

She married Bill Wagner on Nov. 16, 1957, at Wamego. They were later divorced.

She was a member of the Wamego United Methodist Church and a past member of The Order of Eastern Star.

Twyla is survived by a daughter, Cynthia Trezza, Topeka; two sons, Randall Wagner of Texas and Jack C. Wagner of Paxico; a sister, Patricia Meinhardt, Overland Park; a brother, Roland Martin, West Gerdiner, Maine; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale and Dean Martin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, Feb. 9, at the Wamego United Methodist Church. Pastor Bill Eisele will be officiating. Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. at Alta Vista Cemetery in Alta Visa. Mrs. Wagner will lie-in-state starting at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Campanella¬Evans Mortuary in Wamego, where family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
