Warren, Kenyon

We are in receipt of a copy oi the Pasadena Star-News which gives an account of the death of Kenyon Warren, together with his photograph, and a record of the activities in which he took an active part.

Kenyon Warren, who was a brother of Mrs. W. N. Oles of Bazaar, lived north of Bazaar eleven years from 1882 to 1893. He lived with his parents who owned a farm just west of the Barker place. From here he went to California, where he has prospered and has taken an active part in the life and development of Pasadena, the millionaire suburb of Los Angeles.

Mr. Warren was in the undertaking husines and had heen honored by being chosen as president of the Southern California Funeral Directors Association and once was president of the state organization. He was a member of the Board of Control of the National Selected Morticians and through his efforts that organization will hold its national convention in Pasadena this month.

Mr. Warren's greatest activity was in the Methodist church, in which be was one of he most active of all men. He took an active part in all branches of that organization and his pastor stated at his funeral that he was "one of the sweetest Christian characters he had ever known".

Mr, Warren was also active in lodge circles, being a member of Corona Lodge of Pasadena, of Pasadena Consistory of Scottish Rite Masons, a past patron of the Order of Eastern Star and a past patron of the Order of the Amaranth. He was a past president of the New Century Club and of the Ohio Society of Pasadena.

Mr. Warren had underwent an operation which was supposed to have been successful but the following day his heart failed and he passed away September 2th. He is survived by his wife, three children and four grandchildren.
