Watson, S P

News of the death of S. P. Watson, of LaChede, Mo., who was one of the first Chase county settlers to locate on Fox creek, this county, almost half a century ago, was recently received by relatives here.

Mr. Watson was a native of Harrison county, Mo. He served throughout the War and at its close came to Chase county the same year, 1865. All his life has been spent as a farmer and stock-raiser.

Nine years ago, he moved to LaClede, Mo. He is survived by two children - James Watson, of Strong City, and Mrs. Del Park, of Elmdale,
