Weaver, Leah Hope Park

The graveside memorial service for former Chase County resident Leah H. Weaver, 79, of Wichita was Monday in Strong City Cemetery. Mrs. Weaver died Dec. 23, 2001, at a Winfield hospital. She has been cremated. She was a homemaker. During World War II she was a Wave in the U S Nay, having served in California and Hawaii.

Leah Hope Park, the daughter of Carl and Inez Perkins Park, was born March 21, 1922, at Topeka. She married Haskell Weaver in August 1950, in Guam. He died earlier. Brown Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls was in charge of arrangements.
