Wentworth, Beatrice Allen Beatrice Allen Wentworth, 88, died Nov. 12, 2006.
Beatrice, the daughter of Grover and Alta Wiesner Allen, was born Nov. 11, 1918. She attended school at Whitewater. She moved to Peabody when she was 12 years old.
She married Walter H. Wentworth June 19, 1940.
She worked for Peabody Memorial Nursing Home
before retiring.
After retiring, Beatrice and Walter moved to Newton in 1990.
Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Herbison, Newton; a sister, Wilma Orpin, Newton; a grandson, Steve Herbison, Cottonwood Falls; five adopted grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and three great-great-grand-children.
She was preceded in
death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and one sister.
Services were Thursday, Nov. 16, at Baker Funeral Home-Peabody with Rev. David Ragland officiating.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association in care of the funeral home, 114 North Sycamore Street, Peabody, Kansas 66866.
