Wilkins, Imogene Carol Boosinger

The family funeral for Imogene Carol Wilkins, 82, of Allen was Dec. 10, 2002, in the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. The Rev. Mark Stukey conducted the service. Burial was in Allen Cemetery at Allen. Mrs. Wilkins died Dec. 6, 2002, at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kans. She was a homemaker.

Imogene Carol Boosinger, the daughter of Austin and Lovee McDermott Boosinger, was born Aug. 25, 1920, at Allen. She married Nelson W. Wilkins on May 1,1941, at , Humboldt He died Sept. 14, 1998, at Emporia. Mrs. Wilkins was a member of the Allen Methodist Church in Allen and the Rebekah Lodge.

She is survived by a son, Gene D. Wilkins of Allen; three daughters, Becky Sill and Gayle Dailey, both of Emporia, and Cheryl Dial of Strong City; a brother Dayle Boosinger of Neosho Rapids; two sisters, Wanda Huhs of Allen and Minale McKinley of Leavenworth; eight grandchil dren; and four great-grandchil dren. An infant sister, Ina Dee Boosinger; another sister, Gayle Spade; and a great- grandson died earlier.
