Williams Beryl Haus

Beryl Williams, 71, of Honolulu, Hawaii died July 30, 2004. Beryl, the daughter of Larry and Zella Haus, was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Virgil. Her parents preceded her in death. She spent most of her life in Hawaii. She was the grand-daughter of the late John and Margaret Bechelmayr. Relatives in Chase County are Emily Sparks of Strong City and numerous cousins. Graveside services will be held at Prairie Grove Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Aug. 21. She has been cremated.

Beryl Haus Williams

Former Chase County resident Beryl Williams, 72, of Honolulu, Hawaii, died Friday, July 30, 2004, in Kailua, Hawaii. The daughter of Laurence and Zella Bechelmayr Haus, she was born Nov. 5, 1931, in Virgil. She grew up in Chase County. Her husband, Charles Williams, died in 1989.

Mrs. Williams was an administrative assistant for Avis Car Rental and also was a real estate agent.

She is survived by a son, Charles Lapaka Williams of Kailua, Hawaii; and a sister Ivalee Sinclair of Honolulu, Hawaii. The burial service was Aug. 21, in Prairie Grove Cemetery at Cottonwood Falls. Father Nicholas Voelker of St. Anthony Catholic Church conducted the service.

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society may be sent in care of the Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home, 210 Cherry St., Cottonwood Falls, KS 66845.
