Robert W. Williams Dead.

Robert W. Williams, of 113 Rural street, suffered a stroke of apoplexy while cutting kindling early this morning. He was found unconscious in the backyard by his daughter, Miss Jennie Williams, and taken to the house. Medical aid was summoned at once. but he died soon after the physinians arrived. Mr. Williams appeared to be in his usual health up to the time he was stricken, at about 6:30 o'clock. He died at 8 o' clock.

He was born in Waefawr, Carnarvonshire, North Wales, August 15, 1843. When he was twenty years of age he come to America and settled at Cottonwood Falls, where he lived for ten years, when thenreturned to his native home and married Cathrine Williams.

They came to America and lived at Cottonwood Falls until four years ago. Since that time they have lived in Emporia. He leaves two children, William Williams, of Kansas City, and Jennie Williams, who lived with her father. The mother died six years ago. An unmarried sister resides in British Wales.—Emporia Gazteet.

Robert Williams and family lived east of this city until four years ago when they moved to Emporia. Mr. Williams was highly respected and has a great many friends who grieve with his children.

The body was brought here on No. 5 Monday and was laid to rest beside his wife in Prairie Grove cemetery.
