Wilson, Effie Thomas

Mrs. Everett Wilson, a resident of Chase county for 44 years, died at the Wilson home on Peyton Creek last Saturday aftennoon, following a long illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born at Warrensville, Illinois, 48 years ago and came to Chase county four years later with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enos A. Thomas. Mr. Thomas was the first superintendent of the Lantry crushers.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband and five children who are: Mrs. E. 0. Littler of this city; Mrs. Lillian Seyfert of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Mrs. Edith Benninghoven and Everett and Beth Wilson of Strong City.

The funeral cervices were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 at the home and at 3:00 o'clock at the Presbyterian church in this city. Rev. H. B. Mayo, of Quenemo, who was formerly pastor of the Presbyterian church of this city, preached the sermon.

Interment was made in Prairie Grove Cemetery west of this city. The Eastern Star will be in charge of the services.

Mrs. Everett Wilson, age 48 years, 7 months and 1 day, died at the family home northeast of Strong City, Saturday, September 5, following a year's illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born in Warrensville, Ill., but moved to Chase county with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Enos Addison Thomas, when only a small child, and had made her home in the county all the remaining years of her life.

Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, four daughters, Mrs. E. 0. Littler of Cottonwood Falls, Mrs. Lillian Seyfort of Idaho Falls, Ida., Mrs. Edith Benninghoven of Strong City, and Miss Beth Wilson and one son, Garreth Wilson, who reside at home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, concluded by the Rev, H. B. Mayo of Quenemo. Interment was made in Prairie Grove Cemetery. The Eastern Star had charge of the services.
