Wodke, Lola May
Lola May Wodke, 80, Council Grove died Sept 28, 2006, at her home.
Lola, the daughter of Amos Eldridge and Effie May Mayhugh. Galemore, was born March 21, 1926, at Humboldt.
She married Leland "Bud' Wodke Dec 2, 1947 in Emporia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 14, I 980.
Mrs. Wodke had been a Nurse's Aide at the Country Club Home, now the Council Grove Healthcare Center, had worked at
Buckeye Bait, Kansas
Instruments, the bakery.
Hilltop Cafe and Fastop all in Council Grove.
She attended the Council Grove Christian Church
She is survived by three daughters, Gloria Jean Potter, Cottonwood Falls, Brenda Kahl, Emporia and Patricia Blount, Council Grove; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents., eight brothers and sisters and a
great-granddaughter.
Graveside services were held Tuesday Oct 3, at the Kern Cemetery near Humboldt. Penwell-Gable Council Grove Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
