Woerz, Warren D

Warren D. Woerz, 74, died Tuesday, May 24, 2005, at the Marion Manor, Marion.


During the Korean War he served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at the Allbrook Air Force Base in the Panama Canal Zone.

On Nov. 15, 1953, he married Carolyn Hoffman at Kansas City, Kans. They made their home in Marion where he was a farmer and stockman. He was a member of the Valley United Methodist Church and a former member of the V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Ron Woerz of Marion; and a granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sue Moore; and two brothers, Harold and Ralph Woerz.

Funeral services were May 27, 2005, at Valley United Methodist Church, Marion. Pastor Kennedy Mukwindidza and Pastor Rick Branson officiated. Interment was in Marion Cemetery, Marion. Memorials my be made to Valley United Methodist Church or Central Homecare and Hospice.
