Wold, Ruth E Ruth E. Wold, 75, of Downing, Wis., died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at Glenhaven Care Center in Glenwood City, Wis.
Ruth E. Hopmann was born Feb. 23, 1929, in Menomonie, Wis. to William and Elizabeth Dammann Hopmann. She graduated from Glenwood City High School in 1946. On April 20, 1949, she married Noel Wold at Trinity Lutheran Church in Glenwood City, Wis. They
farmed south of Downing for many years.
She was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, where she was the director of the youth choir for many years.
She is survived by four children, Louis Wold, Downing Wis., William Wold, Glenwood City, Wis., Ken Wold, Elmdale and Mary Kurrelmeyer, Madien Rock, Wis.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother,
William Hopmann, Menomonie, Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Clarence Hopmann; and sister, Emma Knoebel.
Funeral services were held Sept. 9, 2004, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Reverend Ralph Thompson officiating. Burial was in the Mound Cemetery, Downing, Wis. Arrangements by the Everts Funeral Home.
