The Kansas State Historical Society has some Cherokee County records on microfilm, available for interlibrary loan If you visit this link, you can find the film numbers for the marriage records you seek.

I am looking for information about Isaac M. "Ike" Essary who was the brother of my paternal grandmother, Laura Belle Essary Berry (husband: Victor Cleophas Berry). Specifically, I would like to know if "Ike" had any wives and/or children, what his middle name was, and the exact date of his death xx March 1980 in Galena, Cherokee Co., Kansas. (FYI ... "Ike" was born 15 September 1891 in Missouri.) Thanks very much for your time and attention.

My Greatgrandfather Joseph M. Kierscey lived in Galena, KS. before it was Galena, what I'm wondering is, are there any Kiersceys left in this part of Kansas? Is there anyone with any knowledge of any Kiersceys? There are 5 of us Kierscey descendants and we are looking for any others, we are beginning to think we are the last of the Kiersceys.

I'm looking for the burial site and/or death record of one John Hosier who died in November 19, 1908. His widow, Mary E. Secrist Hosier, died in Mineral Twp., Cherokee County in 1914. Thank you for any hints or guidance you can provide!

I am looking for info on dates of death for William Taber, m: Frances Ellen Parker in Franklin Co., IL in 1865. In the 1910 census he lived in Shawnee Twp in Cherokee County. In the 1920 census there is a Mrs William Tabers whom I believe is his wife Frances Ellen Parker Taber. I do not know when either of them died, but I am sure it was in Cherokee County.
