Topic: Singrey, Thomas families in Cherokee County

Am looking for information on Perry Singrey and/or Roy Curtis Singrey. They lived near Baxter Springs from about 1893 to 1922. They went to Cherokee County from Indiana to work for R. O. Thomas.

Family stories have it that Perry also ran a Dry goods and Feed store in Baxter Springs. Is there anyone out there that knows of these two men. Perry married a woman while there, I believe her name was Ida Beasley. Some children went to school there, and at least one may be buried in a cemetery near Baxter Springs.

Is there a historical book of businesses in Baxter Springs or something of this nature that I can purchase that would have this type of store listed?

Looking for anyone who has information about my great great grandparents John Hardin Scott & Mary Mountwillow Coonrod Scott. They lived in Columbus, Kansas, and are buried there. Per their marker, he was born in 1847 and died in 1928 and she was born in 1851 and died in 1934. My lineage ties to their eldest son, Charles Leonard Scott, who was married to Sadie Elizabeth Bryan Scott. They are also buried in Columbus.
